The TBSBS has now committed all it’s funding to training and will not be able to offer any further placements.

The new Skills for the Future project will be starting shortly. Please register for our e-newsletter and we’ll keep you informed.

The Heritage Lottery Fund awarded £1,400,000 to a partnership between English Heritage, The National Trust, Cadw, ConstructionSkills and the National Heritage Training Group to establish and deliver a £1.7 million Traditional Building Skills Bursary Scheme throughout England and Wales until 2011.

The scheme has addressed some of the currently recognised skills shortages and gaps within the traditional crafts and built heritage sector and helped to build diversity in the workforce.

The scheme has provided and faciliated 140 bursaries and work-based training placements (Bursary Placements) for indiviudals who are enthusiastic and committed to developing their skills in order to work in the built heritage sector in England and Wales.
