Placement Providers

  • Are you an experienced building specialist working in the built heritage sector?

  • Do you feel that your building skill is in demand, but there is a lack of suitable individuals wanting or able to carry it on?

  • Do you have the time, commitment and enthusiasm to passing on some of your skills and experience to help develop a committed and skilled trainee?

If the answers to these questions are ‘YES’ then the Traditional Building Skills Bursary Scheme would like to hear from you.

Calling all potential Placement Providers

We are looking for companies, organisations and individuals who realise the need to provide on-the-job experience for committed and skilled individuals, and are prepared to host a placement.

The Scheme can’t offer any financial incentive for the Placement Provider, however there are some benefits to becoming one. As a Placement Provider the Traditional Building Skills Bursary Scheme can help you to:

  • develop positive succession planning for your company by sourcing and recruiting enthusiastic, committed and skilled trainees who want to work in the built heritage sector and will productively contribute to your work programme.

  • implement up-to-date company Health and Safety, Training and Equal Opportunities Policies.

  • develop you and your current staff with continual professional development. Responsible management and training of others is an important development for any building professional.

If you are interested in becoming a Placement Provider, please download and read through the Placement Providers Pack, complete and return the Placement Providers Registration form. You will then be contacted by the Bursary Scheme Manager to discuss your participation in the Scheme further. Completing the Registration form is not a binding agreement to participate in the Scheme, but you will be expected to sign an agreement to participate according to the Bursary Terms and Conditions.
